Luminosity take revenge on FaZe

Luminosity Gaming have secured a spot in the DreamHack ZOWIE Open Leipzig semifinals after easing past FaZe 2-0 (16-7 on de_train and 16-5 on de_cache).
Day two of DreamHack Open Leipzig began the same way as the opening day, with a clash between Luminosity Gaming and FaZe, but this time there was a lot more on the line as the teams faced the prospect of an early exit in the tournament.
Train was a completely one-sided affair for most of the first half as Luminosity raced into a 9-0 lead on the Terrorist side. It was only then that the former G2 side finally managed to adjust their defense, picking up five of the next six rounds to reduce the deficit to 5-10.
Håvard "rain" Nygaard's beautiful ace in the final round of the first half gave FaZe some breathing room, but the momentum swung in favour of Luminosity after the break as the Brazilians grew their lead by winning the first four rounds on the CT side. FaZe then rallied back and picked up back-to-back rounds, but their hopes of a comeback were shattered by the CZs of Luminosity.
coldzera was on fire as usual
Cache was the second map in the series, and here Luminosity got out to a five-round lead before FaZe could get their first. The Brazilians quickly bounced back, however, preventing any economic development from their opponents. Unable to build on the few round wins they had in the half, FaZe saw the scoreline bloom to 2-13.
The second half began with FaZe picking up the opening three rounds, but once Luminosity bought up it was game over for the Europeans, who were a far cry from the side who had opened the tournament with a sensational 16-9 victory over Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo's men.
